Wash was an interactive devotional group where participants could join devotees to commune with beings unknown. Participants who entered the temple had their hands 'washed' and were presented with a robe. After sitting, they were given the opportunity to use one of the two mysterious relics to affect the dialog of light and sound, geometry and color. Lines were drawn between wireless social networks, participatory idolization, and The Spectacle. Notions of agency and control, digital autonomy and labor all animate the aspirational heavens with grounding signification.
