As an icon, the chainsaw is perhaps more fraught with contradictions than any other quotidian object. The power tool is representative of competing ideologies, disparate politics and contentious debate. Translating these complexities into a refined - simplistic chair form, draws our attention to the irony of being not one or the other, but both simultaneously. Universal languages of geometry can mediate the divide between opposing viewpoints and be a catalyst for constructive dialog.
